- CHICKEN: Since preserved lemons are traditional in moroccan cooking here’s a classic that you can cook at home! Moroccan Chicken with Preserved Lemons and Olives. - SALAD DRESSING: Next up-Salad dressings! Use preserved lemons as the acid in any of your favorite dressings. Don’t have a go-to dressing. Try this one from Canal House. It’s delicious!
- GRAINS: Preserved lemons can dress up any grain salad. Mince your preserved lemons or mix with the salad dressing above. I haven’t tried this recipe or this one but they both look terrific. One of my favorite Trader Joe’s staples is the harvest grains blend. I like to add a little minced preserved lemon to this simple side dish. If you are considering adding a squeeze of lemons to the grains go ahead and make it preserved lemons. You’ll like the end result.
- PASTA: You can’t beat a simple pasta dish with olive oil, garlic and preserved lemons. Here’s a recipe from the Smitten Kitchen that I make where I substitute the lemons for preserved lemons!
